TouchTunes Announces Winner of Miranda Lambert Autographed Guitar Giveaway Promotion

Winner Entered at the Pastime Club in Marmoth, ND (Pop. 146!) on a Jukebox Operated by Sande Music & Vending

NEW YORK—TouchTunes Corporation, the largest out-of-home interactive entertainment network, has announced the winner of the TouchTunes “Miranda Lambert Autographed Guitar Giveaway” promotion.  Marmarth, North Dakota resident Melody Caron was chosen as the winner of an exclusive Epiphone acoustic guitar autographed by country music superstar Miranda Lambert. The guitar is valued at $1500.

“We were absolutely thrilled that one of our very own TouchTunes patrons was the winner,” said Phil Sande, owner of Sande Music & Vending. “TouchTunes continues to deliver a great experience to our customers and the “Miranda Lambert Autographed Guitar Giveaway” is a great example of that.”  Sande’s company, located in Dickinson, North Dakota, operates the TouchTunes digital jukebox at Pastime Club in Marmarth, where Ms. Caron entered her email address on the screen to win.  The sweepstakes ran on 10,000 TouchTunes jukeboxes nationwide.

“The guitar is great!  I am very happy I won the TouchTunes Sweepstakes,” said Ms. Caron.  “I’m a huge Miranda Lambert fan and it seems absurd my winning such an awesome prize and coming from such a tiny town, with a population of 146!”

Two-time Grammy nominee and platinum artist Miranda Lambert first found success as a finalist on the 2003 season of “Nashville Star,” the reality show that searches for the next big country music star.  Her first release, Kerosene, debuted at No. 1 on the country charts and went on to earn Lambert nominations for the CMA’s Horizon Award, the ACM’s Top New Female Vocalist Award and also a Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Lambert’s follow-up, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, just like Kerosene before, debuted at No. 1 on the Nielsen SoundScan Country chart in May of 2007, and serves as a unanimous critics’ favorite. The gold-certified record graced nearly every 2007 year-end list including Rolling Stone, Blender, Time Magazine, Entertainment Weekly and USA Today. Lambert won the Best New Female Award at the 2007 ACM Awards and came back even stronger in 2008 with a win for Album of the Year.

“Miranda’s Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was one of the most critically acclaimed albums in any genre of music last year,” said Heather McBee, vice president, digital business, Sony BMG Nashville. “Her popularity on the TouchTunes network is a testament to both the music and TouchTunes as an incredible platform to reach her fans.”
